School Fundraiser

We are currently running our annual fundraiser for St. Vincent de Paul in the school, which will run between now and Easter in memory of Kay Doyle.  Children can buy tickets each morning in their classroom from 5th & 6th Class children. Confirmation

Confirmation Art

The 5th & 6th Class have been busy getting ready for their Confirmation next Tuesday. They have been looking up different Saints and creating beautiful art work for the day. Confirmation will take place on Tuesday, 5th March 2019 in St. Finian’s Church at 2:30pm.

Spikeball

Well done to all the 5th & 6th Class children who participated in the Spikeball Competition in Killarney last Monday (25th). St. Finian’s National School Enrolment for Infants Class September 2019

Anyone wishing to enrol children for start of school in September 2019 should fill out the relevant School Application Form and return it to St. Finian’s National School before Friday, 8th March. The Application Form is available from the School Office.

School Photographer

Just a reminder that the school photographer will be coming to the school on Tuesday, 5th February 2019. Pupils should wear their full uniform. More details can be seen on the attached notice.

Grandparent’s Day

Grandparent’s Day was celebrated today (30th January 2019) at St. Finian’s N.S. The children were delighted to see some Granny’s and Granddad’s coming to visit them at school. Fr. Update on our Chicks

Just a quick update on our school chicks…they have gone to a good home and as you can see from the photographs are quite unrecognisable. They are growing and thriving day by day.

Basketball with John Teahan

3rd-6th Class are currently participating in Basketball lessons with John Teahan. These lessons take place on Friday evenings in the Community Center. Each class will have five lessons. Special thanks to John for all his hard work!
