5th & 6th Class

5th and 6th Class are reading “Private Peaceful” as a class novel, they are enjoying the story set in World War 1. As part of the SESE programme they are reading and studying about Daniel O Connell and how effective his monster meetings were.

Fundraiser – Bag Packing

A Bag Packing Fundraiser in aid of St. Finian’s N.S. will take place on Easter Saturday (20.04.19) in Walsh’s Supervalu, Caherciveen. If you are available to volunteer on the day please contact Katy Gwis (0871487334) or Katie Farrell (0860633670).      

World Autism Awareness Day

Each year, World Autism Day is celebrated on the 2nd of April globally with the goal of spreading awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder. Spikeball – All Ireland Competition

Congratulations to the girls Spikeball team who participated in the All-Ireland competition in University of Limerick last Thursday 21st March. The girls played exceptionally well against the some of the best spikeball teams in the country. The girls reached the quarter finals and acquitted themselves very well.  

Mini 7’s

Well done to the boys and girls team who took part in the Mini 7’s competition in Caherciveen, last Friday. The boys enjoyed a great day out and just lost out in the play offs. The girls team qualified for the county finals which will take place next week. Date and venue yet to be… Read more »

World Down Syndrome Day

March 21st, 2019 is World Down Syndrome Day. To mark the occasion many of the boys and girls (and Staff!) wore odd socks to school today!

Agri Aware Talk

A Guest Speaker from Agri Aware will visit the school to speak to the children from infants to 6th class regarding Agri Awareness and Farm Safety on Tuesday 9th April at 11am.
