Summer Holidays

22/06/2020

And once again folks…that’s a wrap! Not quite the end to the year we had envisaged but as the last three months have shown, sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan. We want to sincerely thank you all for your effort, commitment and engagement with the online learning platform Seesaw. We appreciate that this was a challenge and we all had to adapt to this totally new learning experience. Thanks too to the parents who supported you and the school during this time. We hope that during lockdown, you developed new skills and talents but also shared some very special times and made lasting memories with your families.

To our graduating 6th Class pupils, Ben Galvin, Tom Boyle, Ryan Griffin, Darren O’Sullivan, Pearse O’Sullivan, Ronan Murphy, Maeve Courtney, Ellie Higgins, India Duff, Kayleigh-Mai Walsh, Eliza O’Sullivan and Judyta Hydel, this is certainly not the send off you deserved but we hope that the memories you have of your eight years at St. Finian’s outshines the last three months. Throughout your time with us, you have been an exceptional class and a pleasure to teach. We wish you all the best in Colaiste and in the future. We have no doubt that whatever you choose to do in life, you will succeed. Don’t forget to call and see us in the future to say hello.

As we did not get to go on our annual school tour this year, you might like to know that Dublin Zoo are opening their virtual gates so you can take a tour around and visit some of your favourite animals.

We look forward to things returning back to normal in September and being able to welcome you all back to a new year at St. Finians. Have a lovely summer holidays, stay safe and healthy.

All the best,

Gearoid & Staff.
