Six students from St Finians NS along with others from Caherdaniel NS, Sneem NS & Tahilla NS were invited by Sea Synergy to be part of a beach workshop. They did a beach clean in which they collected rubbish;  mostly plastic; which they then showcased. Prince Charles & Camilla joined the children on the beach where they demonstrated their knowledge of ocean awareness & plastic pollution. 6th class student Holly Galvin read a poem she wrote herself called Beauty of the Sea to the Prince & Duchess and surrounding crowd.  Sisters Lucy & Ellie Higgins then presented them with gifts from Sea Synergy – puffin soft toys for their grandchildren.  It was a wonderful experience for all the children involved and one they are sure to remember for years to come.
