On Wednesday 23rd May, the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 115 landed in the Waterville GAA football pitch at 10am. The children got the opportunity to see the helicopter landing, meet the crew and get a guided tour of the helicopter. They got a water safety talk from the crew and also got to see a drone in action, which proved to be a big highlight. This was a great occasion for the children to see first hand how the emergency rescue services operate and to ask them some questions about their work. A big thank you to John Draper and all the crew of the coast guard service. It was a day that will live long in the memory!
